Internet Kids Starting Point

Long ago, I helped with Internet Kids, a program sponsored by BOAST at the University of Illinois. When the World Wide Web was new, it wasn't available in as many homes and schools as it is today. Through Internet Kids, local students were brought to a campus computer lab where they could get experience with computers and the Internet.

To aid in the process, the children would go through worksheets and answer questions by using the Internet. For each of the worksheets (see the "intruction sheets" below), all of the necessary links are provided.

Unfortunately, the Internet is constantly changing, and many of the links below no longer work. And the content of the pages no longer matches the questions on the worksheets. If you're searching for ways to teach about the internet, then hopefully the idea of this page is useful to you. And if you originally learned about the Internet as a participant in Internet Kids, then I'm thrilled to see that you're still online!
