  • Expedited the design optimization and analysis of a large computer and base plate by creating a 3-D model (Pro/ENGINEER).
Aerothermodynamics Branch (May 96 - August 96)
  • By developing a procedure to compare computer predictions (CFD) of shock wave locations to experimental images, identified a possible deficiency in the computer model.
  • Examined wind tunnel test results and extracted valid data.
Engineering Design Branch (August 95 - December 95)
  • Planned the installation location of new equipment after performing a spatial analysis of a research aircraft.
  • Assisted research engineers in the selection of conceptual spacecraft thermal tiles by designing and creating 3-D models (Pro/ENGINEER) which gave mass property information and helped with visualization.
  • Created engineering drawings for flight simulator components.
Flow Modeling and Control Branch (January 95 - May 95)
  • Assembled the components of a suction system used in a wind tunnel experiment, optimized the system, and prepared it for operation.
  • Reduced future down time by documenting the system components, computer-control program, set-up, and operating procedures.
